For those of you who aren't fully up to speed, I quit my job in San Francisco in April in order to take a job in China. I am working for an Indian Pharmaceutical company that formed a JV with a Chinese company in Wuhan, China. I will be spending the next 6-8 months in India for training before I move to China sometime next year.
Although I usually make fun of people with blogs, I'm starting this up so I can keep everyone up to speed. Also, I figured it's a good way of keeping in touch with all my friends.
Before I start talking about India/China, I want to thank everyone I stayed with over the last 6 weeks as I traveled the country. I drove about 5,200 miles by myself as I visited friends in Seattle, L.A., El Paso, Dallas, Bentonville, Memphis, Cincinnati, Columbus and Cleveland. I also saw people in Boston and NYC.
As I took a taxi to JFK, I told my Pakistani taxi driver about my move to India. He was intrigued and gave me some advice...
"I'm Pakistani and you're Indian, but we're basically the same. Let me tell you something, everyone in India will try to screw you. They're all crooks, don't trust anyone"
Awesome.
