I have an article published in The Wall Street Journal

Yup, you read that correctly. Me...in The Wall Street Journal.

Some people would choose to be humble and keep it low key. Not me. I've been published in the Journal and I'm freaking ecstatic. Of course, I must give credit where credit is due. I have relied heavily on two far superior writers over the last several years.

Vivek has basically critiqued everything I've written over the last 6 years...my Lantern op-ed columns, political science reports, even some of these blog posts...literally every word I've typed...he's seen. While Vivek has seen almost all my work, I only ask Chris for the big ticket items. Truly scares me with his insight.

While both guys have helped me get things to 'publish ready' caliber and indirectly boosted my GPA, all my writing comes down to one person...Vidya.

Vidya started writing for our local paper, The Medina Gazette, when I was in 6th grade. My sheer jealousy and epiphany that I'm a far better writer (sans the strawberry article) is what got me into writing to begin with. If it wasn't for her...no Medina Gazette, Cleveland Plain Dealer, The Lantern and now...WSJ.

For some reason, WSJ America has this under premium content but WSJ Asia has it under the free content. Here it is

  2. Nice job Vijay, the WSJ article was an excellent read. =)

I still remember back in the day how you used to write up video game reviews for the Gazette... how far you've come!

  3. Interesting read. Not sure I agree with all of the policies instituted by RBI since I don't think the deepness of the downturn is due to lack of regulation in the US. I think it has more to do with the Fed printing money at will rather than a fiat-based economy. It's why I support the "Audit the Fed" bill in Congress.

Congrats on getting the article published.

  4. Don't get me wrong, the RBI isn't perfect by any means, plenty I disagree about...just don't think we should scream bloody murderer everytime the Fed gets involved.

Someone sent this link to me...a blog countering my article...think you'd enjoy his post, it was well thought out.
